Zuri was a tiny Crystal-Elf whose skin shimmered like morning frost on a windowpane.

She lived high in the Glimmer-Grotto Peaks, a mountain range of see-through quartz where the magic rule was simple: every sound, from a tiny sneeze to a loud cheer, turned into a soft, glowing light.

Zuri’s best friend was Ojo, a round, fuzzy Moss-Puff she had rescued from a tangle of dandelions.
Today, Zuri was determined to find a light bright enough to warm her chilly hallway. As they strolled through the Crystal Meadow, they discovered a cave that breathed a low, musical hum, inviting them into its cool, shadowy mouth.
